Northwest Housing Alternatives is pleased to welcome Felecia Waters-Ransfer as the Human Resources Manager. Felecia has more than twenty years of collective experience in the areas of human resource management, education, and accounting in the private, public, non-profit, and government sectors. She brings a wealth of knowledge in operations management and strategic development to NHA.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of the NHA team,” says Felecia. “The mission of NHA is vital. The need for affordable housing is more critical now than ever before. The work of each NHA team member contributes to the success of the entire organization.”
Felecia possesses a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg, MO), a Master of Business Administration concentration in Organizational Development from Aurora University (Aurora, IL). She also possesses several professional development certificates.
Felecia says she is looking forward to meeting each team member.
“While using NHA’s Equity Lens, my goal is to develop an HR department that fosters a workplace culture and environment of two-way communication, trust, respect, confidentiality, and accountability,” she says. “Additionally, I will implement HR Best Practices, conduct internal audits, review our processes and procedures, employee life cycle, employee relations and engagement, retention, and other human resource duties and responsibilities.”
Felecia is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management as a Certified Professionals. She has a strong work ethic and is a great business partner dedicated to helping others and one who listens and provides insight.
“Employees are key to the organization fulfilling its mission,” says Felecia. “I enjoy empowering employees to realize their full potential and bring their best to the job.”
