Pomeroy Place

Pomeroy Place was built specifically to respond to the need for more affordable housing for veterans and families.

Pomeroy Place provides 20 units of new, safe, affordable housing for Washington County veterans and families earning 30% or less of Washington County’s Area Median Income. The project contains 5 one-bedroom units serving veterans who are transitioning from or at imminent risk of homelessness, as well as 10 two-bedroom and 5 three-bedroom units for veterans and families.

NHA also provides onsite Resident Services and coordination with local services agencies to ensure the health and success of residents and their families. The property includes a community room intended for trainings, gatherings, and for use by NHA service partners, as well as a playground for children.

Pomeroy Place is named for Col. Mae “Betty” Pomeroy who for years has aided and advocated for Washington County’s veterans. Among many awards and accomplishments, she was recognized in 2012 as Outstanding Oregon Woman Veteran of the Year by the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
