Seniors living in NHA properties across the state of Oregon will receive a huge boost next year thanks to two generous grants from Cambia Health Foundation and Meyer Memorial Trust.
The grants will fund an expansion of NHA’s Senior Health and Housing initiative, which provides health and wellness supports to over 800 households in the 16 senior properties operated by NHA across Oregon. The program connects residents with in-home health care services, provides health and wellness programming within the properties, and supports community-building events to prevent social isolation.
All of these supports lead to the ultimate goal of keeping seniors stable in their housing, allowing them to age in place for as long as they choose.
The generous gifts from Cambia Health Foundation, which will invest $80,000 over two years, and Meyer Memorial Trust, which awarded $100,000 over two years, will ensure that this program can be adequately scaled to serve all 865 seniors living in NHA properties.
We are thrilled to expand this program and provide these vital supports for the seniors living on fixed incomes that we serve.
