We wanted to share our appreciation for a great partner that has supported Northwest Housing Alternatives for many years – St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Wilsonville.

St. Francis supports families living in NHA properties in Wilsonville by providing financial support for new backpacks for school-age children and snacks for the kids’ reading program in partnership with the Wilsonville Library. They have adopted families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, providing food and gifts each year. And just last month, the congregation provided a generous gift card for a family who needed to purchase new shoes for their kids.

This year, St. Francis has taken their generous support one step further by providing donations to two of NHA’s important partners – PDX Diaper Bank and Mainspring Portland as well!

In the words of St. Francis’ Rector Brendan, “St Francis is supporting NW Housing Alternatives, PDX Diaper Bank and Mainspring because they are living into Jesus’ commandment that we love one another. They are bringing care and compassion into the world in the same way that Jesus and his disciples did. We applaud their work, and we are thankful that we can support them.”

We are so grateful for the support of the St. Francis community and hope to continue our partnership for many years to come. They are making a big difference in the lives of the families we serve in Wilsonville.
