A Way to Give Back

Oregonians are facing unprecedented hardship with the impact of COVID-19 in our community. As the largest statewide developer of affordable housing in Oregon, Northwest Housing Alternatives serves some of the most vulnerable populations at risk of contracting, spreading, and experiencing life threatening complications from COVID-19 including seniors, low-income families, communities of color, and people with disabilities throughout the state of Oregon.

In light of the crisis, we have made quick pivots to our programs to support these Oregonians and ensure no one in our properties is evicted due to this crisis. Our costs have gone up dramatically in 2020, while our fundraising ability has significantly decreased. We need your help to be able to continue our work and to ensure the safety of those we serve.

NHA is kicking off our “A Way to Give Back” campaign to address these new challenges. Please help us by donating today and challenging 5 other businesses or individuals in your network to match or exceed your donation.

“I have never seen times as perilous as now to our at-risk populations in Oregon,” says Kristin Donahue from Nonstop Wellness. Kristin is a long-time supporter, business partner, and Opportunity Fund Council member. She writes: “Now more than ever, Northwest Housing Alternatives needs community support to adapt to the rapidly changing  needs that the pandemic is bringing to our community.” Read her full letter of support by clicking here (PDF).
