2023 Week of Gratitude

Every year during the week of Valentine’s Day, we take a moment share the love for our beloved NHA partners during our Week of Gratitude.

PNC Bank

First up, NHA’s Resource Development team would like to highlight PNC for their generous support of NHA’s programs and services. Since 2020, PNC has provided grants and sponsorships to support NHA. As the need for housing stability and homelessness services has grown throughout the pandemic, this support has been crucial in meeting the needs of low-income families and seniors in Oregon. We are thrilled to recognize PNC Bank’s generous partnership during the Week of Gratitude.

Columbia Bank

NHA’s Resident Services team would like to thank Columbia Bank for their dedicated support and partnership. Columbia Bank has funded impactful and meaningful resident service programs that support individuals and families in NHA’s affordable housing units. Columbia also ran a coat drive for our residents which provided much needed winter clothing. Additionally, they made gift bags for seniors in our Wilsonville residence; this act of kindness and thoughtfulness raises the spirits of our seniors and helps them feel connected, loved, and cared for. We greatly appreciate the generosity and continued support of Columbia Bank!

Partners in Diversity

NHA would like to highlight Partners in Diversity next. NHA is grateful to reach a wider applicant pool by posting career opportunities on Partners in Diversity’s job board.  Also, Partners in Diversity publishes an informative newsletter which we circulate to our team. Additionally, they host a quarterly meetup for local area professionals of color, which is attended by NHA staff members. These meetups provide a sense of community and a safe space. We’re very grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and support that Partners in Diversity provides for NHA!

GNSA

Today we are celebrating GNSA! They are a Portland-based payroll, HR, and benefits administration firm that NHA began to work with in 2020. They work closely with our Human Resources and Finance teams to support all NHA payroll and HRMS functions. The GNSA staff is always extremely responsive, and they provide excellent customer service. We work most closely with Vivian Carrol and are so grateful for their ongoing support to NHA.

Leaven Community Land and Housing Coalition

Lastly, NHA would like to share our Gratitude for the work of Leaven Community Land and Housing Coalition. In just a few short years, the coalition has provided advocacy that has changed the conversational nature of housing our neighbors and friends. They have been active in lessening the artificial and arbitrary barriers to affordable housing on Faith and Community Based land. Supporting advocacy and action chapters in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington County, they are seen all over the State advocating for housing. They have also developed a Process Guide and Technical Manual for faith-based communities desiring to support the development of housing. However, and most of all, they have led these efforts with sacred action and in an interfaith commitment. We applaud the work and can’t wait to see what is next!
