Tea and Tour

Northwest Housing Alternatives provides homes to over 2,500 Oregonians in 1,658 units spread throughout 17 counties. We operate the Annie Ross House, the only family shelter in Clackamas County and prevent homelessness before it begins through our HomeBase program.

We offer informal “Tea and Tour” events to talk about who we are, the people we serve and what is going on in our community. Keep in mind this is not a fundraising event - you will not be asked to make a contribution to Northwest Housing Alternatives, it is just an opportunity to learn more about us.

In 2013, we have scheduled tours of the Annie Ross House and NHA’s Milwaukie campus:

  • Friday, May 24th    2:00-3:00pm
  • Friday, June 7th    12:00-1:00pm

  • Please RSVP to Mallory at anderson@nwhousing.org or 503.654.1007 ext. 109.

We can also set up a personalized tour for your group of up to 10 people. Please feel free to bring a guest!

Northwest Housing Alternatives launches new IDA program!

Northwest Housing Alternatives is proud to announce our recent acceptance as a member organization of the VIDA collaborative, and our new status as an approved provider of Individual Development Account’s (IDA’s) in the state of Oregon. IDA’s are matched savings accounts that help people earning low or fixed incomes build assets through the acquisition of higher education, homeownership, and small business start-up funds.

NHA’s Resident Services department will operate the IDA program, and it will be open to all families and seniors who call NHA’s Portland Metro properties home. Official enrollment will commence in spring 2013.

Northwest Housing Alternatives creates opportunity through housing, and our new IDA program will provide our families and seniors with an exciting new tool to increase their assets and long-term stability.
