Hotel Julian Grand Reopening
Northwest Housing Alternatives, Governor Kate Brown, and our partners at Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services (WHNS) were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the historic Hotel Julian on June 4th.
The Hotel Julian is home to 35 Oregon households who earn very low-incomes (average annual income of under $10k) and who are elderly and/or disabled. The property has offered affordable homes to the Corvallis community since 1971 but in 2012, the building was in danger of market rate conversion.
After acquiring the Hotel Julian in 2012, NHA worked with Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services to redevelop the property and acquire permanent financing. Now that the ribbon has been cut, WHNS will take over operation of the building and provide services for the 35 households who call the Hotel Julian Home.
NHA would like to send a special thank you to our sponsors of the 23rd Annual Annie Ross House Plant Sale! Your support and commitment to the Annie Ross House makes a difference in your community!
Northwest Housing Alternatives provides homes to over 2,600 Oregonians in 1,831 units spread throughout 16 counties. We operate the Annie Ross House, the only family shelter in Clackamas County and prevent homelessness before it begins through our HomeBase program.
We offer informal “Tea and Tour” events to talk about who we are, the people we serve and what is going on in our community. Keep in mind this is not a fundraising event - you will not be asked to make a contribution to Northwest Housing Alternatives, it is just an opportunity to learn more about us.
To schedule a tour, contact Tim Collier at 503 654 1007 x113 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can also set up a personalized tour for your group of up to 10 people. Please feel free to bring a guest!
